Sitting on the back of my toilet right now there is a Nintendo DS and a Sudoku book. I do enjoy a good Sudoku puzzle whilst dropping the cosby kids off at the pool, but we’re here to focus on games of the video variety.
First of all the perfect game for poopin’ has to have a lot of save points, or something you can play in small bursts. I mean it’s hard to gauge when you first sit down just how long you’ll be in there for. Really when I’m going in, I might switch up the game completely depending on what’s goin’ on in the bowels and how I’m feelin’ it. Say I’m going to be doing a lot of strenuous activity, you don’t want an involved game because your focus will be elsewhere. Usually in that case I stick to some kind of mini games.
Now say this one you know is just going to be a long, relaxing sheizah, you might want to break out the rpg or something that contains a storyline. The best part about this method is that you start to associate great games with great craps (which is a fantastic thing). The biggest let down to this method is when you are in a foreign bathroom without access to your favorite gaming device and you’re having one of those great dumps, there is a feeling like something is missing.
Choosing your pooping gaming device can also be a tricky decision. Like I said in the comfort of my own home, I usually use my wife’s DS (I would probably also use a psp if I had one). But while I’m getting paid to poop (aka pooping at work) I usually bring in my zune. Now this is good for a quick game of checkers or texas holdem poker, it even has this cool little 2-d space shooting game, creatively named “Space Battle.”
Well this wraps up the first edition of A Gamers Crappy Diary. And remember, once you go for the toilet paper the gaming device goes into your pocket and stays there! Cleanliness first, gaming second.
