Grunge Gamer

So 2010 is looking to be a good year for gamers (we hope) what with all the pretty new shiny toys that our respective favorite publishers are presenting us with.
Even so, the fall/holiday releases this year aren't looking too shoddy and I'm wanting to get things rolling in the forums, so what release are you looking forward to in the forseeable future?
Personally I'm waiting to sink my teeth into Darksiders if not for anything else than seeing Joe Mad's artwork come to life in a rather faithful 3d representation of it.
For next year Castlevania: Lords of Darkness is high on my list, and although Final Fantasy has gone soft in recent years, XIII: Versus and XIV are both interesting me...although I'm probably not going to see either for quite a while. <sigh>

So let's hear it...what are we lookingforward to!?

APB http://apb.com - it's a pretty sweet looking mmorpg that looks kind of like GTA style, with and a really cool characater creation and modification system (something more advanced than anything I've seen)

star wars: KOTR (don't know if that will even be out 2010, but I hope so)

ffxiii looks pretty freaking slick, I haven't seen much about their new mmo though ffxiv, so if you know of a video submit it to your profoile page so I can check it out ^^


I'm sure there's more, but that's all that comes to mind atm. I know a lot of people are looking forward to diablo III and star craft (if either ever come out).

Starcraft II. I have never wanted something so badly in my entire life (not true, but ok). Blizzard has been dangling that game in front of us for entirely too long.

Star Wars: KOTR - This game seems to be pretty impressive as well. And it's Star Wars (though the most recent films weren't excused for being Star Wars.....let's hope they don't fuck this up).

Metroid: Other M - Looks amazing. Let's hope that because it is on the Wii, it doesn't suck. Metroid Prime 3 was good however, so we should be fairly safe even if there is some third person action in this game.

The Elder Scrolls V - Bethesda said they wanted to see a new Elder Scrolls title out next year. To be honest, I think I may actually be looking forward to this a little more than Starcraft II (Blasphemy!) but only because I enjoyed Oblivion so much and am still enjoying it.

I guess I'll stick with 2009 for a bit still. The scope of genres I play is very wide but for now I'm only looking forward to FIFA 10 which will be released October, 2nd somewhere if I'm not mistaken.

The main reason is that I've still got plenty of PS3 games I have to finish yet and/or still play online i.e. InFamous, FIFA 09, Street Fighter 4, Valkyria Chronicles,...

I'm thinking of spending the few bucks on Fat Princess which is avaiable on PSN at the moment cause it looks a hell lot of fun in the small trailers and reviews I've watched.

So for now I will keep my mind focused on the second half of this year but I will join you guys in a few months

The only thing coming out this fall/holiday seasons for me is going to be Darksiders. Although Batman Arkham Asylum looks interesting, it's going to wait until the price falls.
I can't take a gamble on something that's had such a TERRIBLE history suddenly becoming good.
