Crouching Saxton, Hidden Fish

E-mail Print PDF

Hairy HaleEvery Friday Ma asks me to pick up a fresh bottle of milk and a fish for dinna, but brotha, not all Fridays are the same.

Anybody caught alone, lost, on the back streets a South Boston is frikkin asking fa’ah beatin.  But this time, you shoulda seen this guy!  He musta been 8 feet tall, minimum!  Hikin boots, plum-smugglin super high khaki shorts, hat, and no shirt- are you frikkin kiddin me!?  Last thing I need to see on my way home to ma is 20 yards of tangled chest haih.

When I first saw this guy, he was tapping on the front window of an old bakery, each rap a his fingah makin a small crack in the glass.  I joined the group of people gatherin around and watched as a sandvich stuffed hoovy asked him to leave.  The guy turned around, drew 100 liters of air into his lungs, and bellow out, “SAXTON HALE!”

Everyone cowahd!  Nobody could move!  We were deafened!  Stunned by the scream.  And brotha, in one swift kidney punch he took the hoovy down.  Once we got our bearings back, we mobbed him.

New Crackdown 2 DLC Breaks, Angers Fans

E-mail Print PDF

So I just purchased the brand spankin' new DLC for Crackdown 2, Keys to the City. From their promo video, Ruffian Games has added some new vehicles, weapons, gameplay modes, and mechanics to the already enjoyable playground of Pacific City.

There's only one problem: it doesn't work. As soon as you throw down your hard earned Microsoft Points and try to load the DLC, it freezes your Xbox, and you're forced to restart. Wonderful. There's quite the rabble going down over at Ruffian Games' forum page. According to Gaz Ladden via the forums, "We have confirmation of what the issue is now. The paid part of the DLC was incorrectly configured when mastered..." So for now, here is a way to fix this problem until Ruffian makes a patch for it:

So I might be coming back (at least for a little while)

E-mail Print PDF

I played WoW 4 years ago for about a year.  I was a lvl 70 human pally in probably worst time the paladins have seen in WoW.  They couldn't out heal a priest, they couldn't out tank a warrior  and they sure as hell couldn't out DPS anyone.  I couldn't get into any PUG and my own guild usually didn't want me to raid with them because I was just that worthless.  So I turned emo and stopped playing because the game had lost it's luster for me.

Now I'm coming out of retirement and I'm wondering if any tank pally's out there have any resources / favorite links / awesome guides that I could take a gander.  So I can get better acquainted to all the new skills.

Cave story on the wii vs the pc

E-mail Print PDF

cave story

Many people think as console gaming as the main source of gaming but actually its just one of the many ways to play games. Half life and counter strike are all very good examples of pc to console ports but one of the many not so well known way of porting games for pc to console is via xbox live marketplace, wii ware or the playstation network.

In the not so distant future you will probably be sitting in front of your computer or TV screen adorned with your fancy schmancy 3-D glasses dodging as your video game tries to attack you through your screen.  With the latest infusion of 3-D to the movie theatre, you can rest assured that the gaming industry isn’t far off.

What a dick move, Realtime Worlds

E-mail Print PDF

apb realtime worldsI got home from work last Friday with every intention of trying APB when the servers went live.  The clock hit 8:30 pm, it had slipped my mind that the server went live at 7:00 pm and I had to watch Caprica on SyFy at 9, so that didn’t give me much time.  I go to my computer and ran the game (that took forever to download in their shitty downloader), login, and bam some bullshit about my account being blocked.  For those of you that missed it, I announced on Thursday that I had been invited to join the closed beta for APB.  (Click here if you want to check it out).

It feels like forever ago that I signed up, I've been watching all their podcasts and very much looking forward to their beta. Well I officially got my invite to the APB beta. Here is what it looks like for anyone that did not get one, or anyone that might have had it go into their spam folder.
